We’ll do the work

Most funders want to be better partners for you, they just need the right support and encouragement to get there.

Here’s what happens when you share a funder who needs some help:

  • We contact them to gently let them know someone thinks they could benefit from listening to unfiltered feedback from nonprofits. We find out if they are ready to improve. Your name and org will NEVER be shared.

  • If they decide to work with us we begin a deep listening process of interviewing a variety of nonprofit leaders that they choose. We create a super safe space for conversation and ask nonprofits what they want the funder to do differently and what they wish philanthropy for their org ideally looked like.

  • We write a report (nonprofit feedback is always completely anonymous), and challenge the funder to consider their nonprofits’ ideas for ideal philanthropy. We work with the funder to hear the feedback, sort through it, and act on the most important bits.

  • We support the funder’s team and the nonprofit interviewees to practice direct funder feedback and exercise deeper dialogue, so you can continue to have these conversations without us!
